Christian singer Matthew West was at the White House as both co-host and performer for the annual National Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony.
The ceremony included performances by Alana Springsteen, Brett Young, Gabby Barrett, Jillian Cardarelli, Jon Pardi, The Beach Boys, and Warren Zeiders, with Gabby Barrett and West serving as co-hosts. The evening’s performances were led by Music Director Tariqh Akoni, backed by The United States Navy Band Commodores.
West met the President and First Lady, and offered prayers for the country, an experience he called unforgettable on his social media.
What an incredible honor to be invited to the White House this year with my family! While we were there, we had the chance to meet the President and share that we pray for our nation, for his leadership, and for guidance in the days ahead. Truly a moment we will never forget.
